Several hundred children and adults gathered at the Trudo playground on Schoonerstraat in Eindhoven on Wednesday evening. When darkness has fallen, the colorful procession slowly moves. One of the children is dressed as a skeleton. He carries a scythe on his shoulder. “I’m the devil’s sidekick. It’s fun to scare people,” says the skeleton. His sister is dressed as a vampire: “And we can stay up late.”
Anja van Vooren is one of the organizers of the Halloween Tour. “We are holding this tour especially during the autumn holidays so that the smaller children can also participate. They don’t have to go to school tomorrow. The tour has become bigger and bigger in recent years. The children like to dress up and visit the houses for sweets This year ninety children are participating. In the first year five houses were decorated, this year already fifteen.”
