“The future has become so uncertain,” says Lianne de Vries-Brinks (31), who has been running Lindeboom together with her husband Bart (37) for ten years. Our lease expires in October next year. If we go further, we will be stuck with it again for another ten years. Our energy contract also expires around that time. Fortunately, we had a permanent contract, but we will soon be spending eight times as much on energy. It’s almost impossible to do that anymore.”
