The outburst of anger by trainer Alfred Schreuder, Sunday after Ajax – Excelsior, continued for a long time this week. Purmerender Mart Lieder questions the performance of the Ajax coach in football talk show De Aftrap. Former AZ player Nick van der Velden is convinced that Schreuder has done it well. “I totally get it.”
At the beginning of this century, Van der Velden (39) briefly played with Schreuder at RKC Waalwijk. “At the time a quiet man and very committed to young players. Honest and direct,” said the current AZ youth coach.
“At RKC, Schreuder was a calm man and very committed to young players”
“It doesn’t seem very serious to me,” says Lieder, now a player at FC Emmen. The striker himself remembers an incident of an outburst of anger at FC Dordrecht. “I have experienced Marco Boogers (technical director, ed.) and he could kick a trash can through the dressing room. That was not the case with Marco.”
In addition to the weekly game of Raak de Vlag (this time with Robin Lathouwers from Jong AZ), we will close the broadcast with our own team of FCV De Aftrap, in which a special trainer change takes place.
