Linda de Mol claims at high and low that she has never known anything about the misbehavior of her (ex) lover Jeroen Rietbergen at The Voice. But what if she had known what he was eating?
Mark Koster, media journalist and mole expert, thinks it’s strange that Linda de Mol never knew anything about Jeroen Rietbergen’s misconduct. He had been known as Dirty Jeroentje for years and years. “You try to imagine this situation,” he writes in a column for villa media.
Ticking time bomb
It’s almost unimaginable, says Mark. “Linda de Mol, who for years slept in one bed with a man who could explode the family empire, but had no idea which time bomb was ticking next to her.”
Even if she knew about it, Linda wouldn’t have done anything, he thinks. “Big question: would she have reported on Rietbergen’s behavior in the columns if she had known? Had Linda de Mol pulled the pin out of the hand grenade and exploded the De Mol dynasty by revealing that her own guy was an assailant at The Voice? Of course not.”
Unthinkable
Media expert Victor Vlam cannot imagine that Linda never knew anything about Jeroen’s misconduct, or at least about his bad reputation. Gordon claims he warned Linda about that a long time ago. “If everyone knew that, then they must have known it too?”, he says in the podcast De Communicado’s.
Linda must have a talk sometime, Victor thinks. “People just want to know: could she possibly do something about this? Could she possibly prevent this? Did she know things about Jeroen that she should have reported to her brother John de Mol? People wonder if she couldn’t have done more.”
Catherine angry
Catherine Keyl, meanwhile, is very annoyed that Linda gets so many skeptical reactions. “I don’t understand what people can comment on now. I think it’s all so unreasonable, what kind of people are those who are so incredibly suspicious? I really don’t think that’s normal,” she grumbles in the Weekend.
She continues: “It is terrible what has happened to her and I think it is bad that people apparently do not realize how they are tormenting others with their annoying behavior. Linda can’t help her husband cheating and doing those things, can she? Then it’s bad that people react so ruthlessly to you. Really awful!”
