‘This is a sneer at Rachel Hazes’

Frank Dane thinks the new song by Roxeanne Hazes is a direct sneer at her devilish mother Rachel. “Yes, this isn’t about the neighbor, is it?” said the radio host.

We can rarely catch Frank Dane having a spirited opinion. As a radio DJ on 538, he is known for his terribly slimy interviews with celebrities such as André Hazes Jr. It is therefore quite striking how he took a position yesterday in RTL Boulevard about the new song by André’s sister Roxeanne.

‘You talk behind my back’

Roxeanne has posted a sneak peek of her new song No Sorry on her Instagram. In it she sings: “You don’t talk to me anymore, so you talk about me, so you talk behind my back. I hope you understand that we don’t get that time back, baby… we can’t get it back.”

There is a lot of speculation that this is a reference to Roxeanne’s heated argument with her mother Rachel. In that quarrel André took sides for his mother, while most outsiders support Roxeanne. She is seen as the only normal member of the troubled Hazes family.

What does Frank Dane say?

Frank Dane maintains good contact with André. How does he feel about this new Rox song? “Roxeanne Hazes lashes out at mother Rachel in a new single”, was his announcement yesterday in RTL Boulevard.

It’s obvious, Frank continues a moment later. “The new record is stirring up a lot of dust. The lyrics of the song would be very similar to the argument with her mother Rachel Hazes.”

Logical, he thinks. “Yeah, this isn’t about the neighbor, is it?”

“That’s about Rachel”

Colleague Lex Uiting: “And it’s not about an ex-love or a former love either.”

Frank: “No. No no. And she also knows with such a song that everyone is going to ask this question? Yes, that is about Rachel.”
