The TTK season that started for Vappu Pimiä this fall has meant new challenges.

Long-time host of the Dancing with the Stars program this fall May Day Pimi accepted the challenge. When Mikko Leppilampi announced at the end of last year that he was leaving the program’s host, Vapu was offered a new role in the program, a place as a host on the floor.
– It’s a surprisingly different job for me, even though it’s the same, familiar program. Both positions have their own challenges and responsibilities.
He has been seen this fall as a Vapu host couple at his former host location Ernest Lawson. The warm memories of working with Miko are still in mind, but the new division of labor with Ernest has also been very pleasant for Vapu.
– This has brought me an enormous amount of new energy! In my old position I had such a clear routine, both good and bad, and in this new position it has felt like the pressure has increased.
According to Vapu, the cooperation with Ernest went amazingly well right from the beginning of the new season of the program.
– Erku is extremely easy to work with. I could say that if a person does not get along with Ernest Lawson, then there is something fundamentally wrong with that person, Vappu laughs.
Feedback on the duo’s work has also been positive.
– It has been gratifying, because of course our intention has not been to imitate what we did with Miko.
This season Vappu has also been pleased behind the scenes of TTK by how good the team spirit prevails between the program’s competitors. The presenters have quite a bit of contact with the show’s dance couples behind the scenes of TTK, but despite this, one could not help but feel the mutual chemistry between the participants.
– Competitors don’t always become so close to each other, but this season the group is really close. It’s been nice to notice, Vappu says with joy in his voice.
