Gordon is being hit hard by falling house prices. He drops enormously with the asking price of his penthouse in Amsterdam. “He asked for 3.5 million euros, but now gives a half million euros discount.”
Gordon is so tired of life in the Netherlands that he has put his brand new penthouse in Amsterdam up for sale. The SBS 6 star bought the house last year for less than 2 million euros and put it up for sale last summer for 3.5 million euros. What seems? The apartment is still not sold after four and a half months.
3 million euros
Gordon now drops significantly with the asking price, Shownieuws reports. on Funda it can indeed be seen that ‘only’ EUR 3 million is still being requested. “You know that joke about the singer who was going to sell his house? He bought it in 2021, that beautiful penthouse in Amsterdam with a view over the IJ,” said show expert Bart Ettekoven.
Bart: “He bought it for 2 million, then he completely furnished it. Beautiful, partly with its own furniture. Last summer he put it up for sale for 3.5 million. But somehow he doesn’t lose it for that amount. It is also a lot of money of course.”
Sandra Schuurhof: “Ridiculous.”
Gordon victim
Gordon seems to be a victim of falling house prices, according to Bart. “We heard in the news last week that the housing market did take a little hit. He lowered the price and now you only have to pay 3 million for it. But that’s a big discount of half a million. 500 thousand euros cheaper.”
If he gets it sold, Gordon would still be making a profit. “Still a million more than the purchase price, but of course he has furnished it for that and it has a nice kitchen and a bar.”
‘Very crazy’
Bart, however, fears the worst for Gordon. “I think an amount of 3 million is very crazy for an upstairs apartment in Amsterdam. That’s it, isn’t it?”
“We can give it all expensive names, like a penthouse, but you really just live upstairs in a 3 million flat. I would never pay that kind of money for something where you don’t even have a garden, right?”
