An 87-year-old driver was fatally injured in a collision between two cars near Rheinsberg (Ostprignitz-Ruppin district).
The 47-year-old driver of the other car was seriously injured on Thursday morning, the police said.
Accordingly, the driver had to be freed from his car and died at the scene of the accident. The woman was taken to a hospital in a rescue helicopter.
The police are investigating how the accident happened. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, the man’s car got into oncoming traffic in an S-curve, where he collided with the woman’s car. The B122 was closed for a few hours.
