Six months in the life of Mr. Bachmann, teacher in a multicultural class in Stadtallendorf, a town with a gloomy past (the weapons factories of the Third Reich were concentrated there). To children between 12 and 14, all children of immigrants, Bachmann not only teaches German, a prerequisite for integration, but encourages dialogue.
There are many exciting moments and, at the end of the abundant 3 hours, the viewer is left with the sense of having spent a school day with Hasan, who loves music, Ferhan the only one to wear the veil, Rabia who defends the right to love whoever she likes. A film that really fills us with hope.
