Tim Merlier takes first victory as Belgian champion in Oostrozebeke

Merlier hasn’t had much fun with his Belgian champion’s jersey (after winning the BC in Middelkerke). The Vuelta did not yield the hoped-for victory, which was also caused by illness. But in the Autumn criterium in Oostrozebeke the zero has been swept from the tables: the first victory as Belgian champion is a fact. In a sprint of three, Merlier overtook Yves Lampaert and Michiel Lambrecht.
