Left-back from Norway
Stade Rennes has extended the contract of its left-back Birger Meling by two years until June 2026. The 27-year-old Norwegian joined from Nîmes Olympique for €3m in 2021 and has since made 43 appearances, in which he has five assists. So far, Meling has made 31 appearances for his country’s national team.
The fact that Stade Rennes is extending him “means that the club is happy with me,” said the professional. “The club’s project is to improve and little by little it’s getting better and better.”
