Prime Minister Rutte will be in Berlin on Tuesday 4 October with a delegation from the Dutch cabinet for government consultations with a delegation from the German government, led by Chancellor Scholz. The Dutch delegation will be received in the Bundeskanzleramt.
Government consultations focus on climate. Ministers will exchange best practices on, among other things, innovation and electric vehicles. In addition, energy security in the light of the energy transition, the priorities in important files of the Fit for 55 package and the upcoming COP27 climate conference are discussed.
The following will be present in Berlin on Tuesday: Minister Jetten for Climate and Energy, Minister Adriaansens for Economic Affairs and Climate, Minister Schreinemacher for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation and Minister Harbers for Infrastructure and Water Management.
The German side will be present in Berlin on Tuesday: Minister Habeck for Economy and Climate, Minister Schulze for Economic Relations and Development Cooperation, State Secretary Höppner for Digital Affairs and Transport, Minister Stark-Watzinger for Education and Research, State Secretary Luhrmann for Europe, State Secretary Tidow for the Environment , Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection and Secretary of State Gatzer for Finance.
