A bit of a shock for a package deliverer in Huizen this morning: when he delivered a package, he forgot to put the handbrake on his bus. The bus then drove straight into the water.
The bus did not end up completely in the water, the rear wheels stayed on the big one. The shocked parcel deliverer then tried with some friends to get the van out of the water. As if he hadn’t had enough bad luck already, the bus ran over his foot.
Packages stay dry
The delivery man and his friends were unable to land the van. They called a recovery company, who had less trouble with it and put the van aside again.
The packages probably stayed dry. It is unknown whether they will all still be delivered today.
