Pori’s Ässie season has started sadly – or you could say it didn’t start at all. After two matches Karri Kiven the crew has managed to complete two goals and the goal scored column shows ten.
In the second match of the season, TPS was downright superior against the bat shirts, as Friday night’s match ended with a 7–2 victory for the host team.
– It was a gray day. There haven’t been many like this in my entire coaching career. Everything went wrong from that first goal, head coach Kivi said at the start of the press conference.
Ässät will face JYP at home on Saturday. Kivi promised that changes will be made to the team before then.
– It’s clear that it’s not worth messing with the team either. At the same time, you have to forget this and download everything again tomorrow.
In Tepsi’s camp, the performances were evenly distributed, as no less than seven players had a two-point night.
The team that experienced two defeats is also Olli Jokinen piloted by Mikkelin Jukurit, who had to bow to HPK at home. Jukurit led the match on two different occasions, but by Steve Moses, Michael Jolyn and by Mathias Trettenes goals brought the knights to the side and an unattainable lead. Niko Huuhtanen narrowed it down to 4–5 for Jukurei at the end, but Mikkeli’s night didn’t see any more hits.
“Konna” worked
In the end, Ilves’ visit to Vaasa went well, even though the team lost in the first round Eetu Tuulola with the shower command to the shower side.
1+2 powers at the touch of a button Petri Kontiolan in the lead, Sport fell by 4–1.
Pelicans finished with three goals in the opening set, which were enough for the victory against KalPa. The winner of a 3–2 win is counted as the winner at the end of the 1st set Joni Ikonen.
Miska Siikonen and By Charles-Edouard D’Astous goals in the third period brought KooKoo to level and into overtime against SaiPa. D’Astous was the only winner of the round’s only winning goal contest, securing a 3–2 win.
JYP, which got stronger during the summer, looked strong when they faced Rauma Luko at home. The 5–2 win serves as some kind of example that the team has firepower. The home team’s 2–0 goal was scored by a returnee Sami Niku.
