Messe Frankfurt has reassembled the team for its textile fairs Heimtextil, Techtextil and Texprocess. Bettina Bär has been responsible for managing the home textiles segment at Heimtextil since September 15, 2022. She has been with Messe Frankfurt since 2012 and in the past has managed Neonyt as show director, among other things. She forms a dual leadership with Meike Kern, who has been in charge of the home textiles segment at Heimtextil for 14 years and will continue to do so.
Bettina Bär succeeds Sabine Scharrer, who will take on the position of Show Director of the leading international trade fairs Techtextil and Texprocess and brand management. She has been with Messe Frankfurt since 1996 and has worked, among other things, for the company’s foreign technical trade fairs and as manager of consumer goods trade fairs, including Ambiente. Since 2016 she has also been responsible for the home textiles segment at Heimtextil. In this position, she was particularly able to further develop product ranges for interior designers and established the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality Library, among other things. She also focused on the increased integration of the textile pre-stage areas of Textile Technology and Fibers and Yarns into Heimtextil.
Sabine Scharrer succeeds Michael Jänecke, who will retire on January 1, 2023 after more than 30 years at Messe Frankfurt.

During this time he has accompanied the industry through crises and supported growth. He established Techtextil and Texprocess as the most important platform for international exchange in the textile industry.”
The next Heimtextil will take place from January 10th to 13th, 2023, the next Techtextil and Texprocess will follow on April 23rd to 26th, 2024.
