SC Freiburg will continue to be without Hungarian international Roland Sallai for an indefinite period. The offensive man underwent surgery on Tuesday and will be out until further notice, as the sports club announced on Wednesday. “He will be out for a few weeks. The operation was good, but unavoidable,” said coach Christian Streich. Sallai is also missing in the Europa League away game at the Greek record champions Olympiakos Piraeus on Thursday evening (6.45 p.m. / RTL +).
Sallai suffered a fracture of the floor of his left eye in the league game at Bayer Leverkusen (3-2) on September 3 and was initially treated conservatively. The 25-year-old also missed the games against Karabakh Agdam (2-1) at the start of the European Cup and against Borussia Mönchengladbach (0-0) in the league.
Roland Sallai has had an eye operation and will be out until further notice.
