That’s why Britney Spears never wants to play concerts again

Britney Spears shared her thoughts on the future of her career on her Instagram story last Sunday (September 11). Among other things, she is considering not playing any more live shows.

Britney Spears was ‘traumatized’

In the now-deleted post, the singer criticized the lack of creative control over her music videos. The only pictures she really liked are those for her song “Work Bitch” (2013). In addition, she noted her bad experiences with photographers:

“The most disgusting SO-CALLED professional pictures on any tour. I mean they could have at least cheated and retouched it for me…I’m just saying…two days of shooting for the new show in Vegas was literally the worst thing ever…and I’ve been looking forward to the pics from the tour for five months…them never showed me any… I’d rather take pictures of myself than work with the most obnoxious people in my life”.

She went on to say that she was at times unhappy with the number of dancers she performed with on stage during her four-year Las Vegas residency. All in all, she was very taken by the shows:

“I’m traumatized forever and yes I’m pissed off and no I probably won’t perform again because I’m stubborn and I’ll get my point.”

Is Spears losing her two sons?

Spears also commented on the relationship with her two sons Jayden James (15) and Sean Preston (16). They previously told a TV show that they had distanced themselves from their mother. According to Complex, she reportedly wrote in Jayden’s Instagram comments: “I had my kids more than Kevin at one point.” She is referring to her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Now she has added her statement to her own Instagram story. She further wrote:

“People don’t remember that part because they always focus on the negative, but when they were six to nine years old I had them 70 percent of the time. Since they’re gone, I honestly feel like a big part of me has died. I literally have no purpose anymore. They were my joy, they were my everything… that’s what I lived for”.

#FreeBritney

As of November 2021, Spears has been able to make independent decisions about her personal life, career and finances again. Guardianship ended after her father submitted papers to Jamie agreeing to his daughter’s wish. He withdrew her guardianship in 2008 when she had to be committed to a clinic because of mental health problems.

Two years ago she released her last album GLORY (2020), a reissue of her 2016 record of the same name. Most recently, she collaborated with Elton John on his song “Hold Me Closer,” which was released earlier this year.
