The Omicron wave rolls through Europe. Should you still go on vacation? A comment from BZ am Sonntag boss Inga Grömminger.
Winter holidays are now in Berlin, but so far it’s only been raining. Does it fit the mood? Not with me!
I’ve had enough of this dejection and hopelessness. I’m going to the mountains. So. Embark on the journey that I couldn’t do exactly a year ago and have postponed to this one.
“Well, everyone I know has come back from their skiing holiday with Omikron,” says a friend. “Well, I think it’s not fun to drive away under these conditions,” another.
First of all, the numbers here in Berlin are currently higher than in Austria and secondly: It’s not fun at all with this test and wearing masks anyway, of course not, but we have to make the best of it or we’ll all be sad, and that’s it not fun at all.

Life, our everyday life, it challenges us under the Corona conditions with the 2G plus rule, perfectly clear. But we don’t know how long everything will stay like this, it’s not foreseeable at all, it could be years. And so I think: let’s learn 2G plus fun! Because it works.
This was also shown to us by the survey of Berliners who went on vacation. Families who, despite everything, go to the museum, the zoo or even Legoland.
It’s more difficult than before Corona, of course, but you can still create beautiful experiences and we need them more than ever.
