MKE Ankaragücü Coach Ömer Erdoğan: The defeat made us very sad

MKE Ankaragücü’s coach Ömer Erdoğan made statements after the Alanyaspor match.

Erdogan, in the meeting held after the match, said that they received a defeat that they did not deserve.

Expressing that an MKE Ankaragücü, who fought very well from the first minute to the last minute, was on the field when they looked at the match in general, Erdoğan said, “Our players on the field showed the results of all the work we did during the week. “Unfortunately, we will be upset about one point in the game we will win differently, but today we are returning empty-handed. This saddens us a lot.” said.

Explaining that the game gives them hope in the next period, Erdoğan noted that the newcomers focus on the matches in front of them with their experience and quality.

Expressing that they want to bring the team to a better place, Erdoğan said:

“Today, Alanyaspor tried to come out of the defense by making a pass. This is an understanding that pulls the opposing team to its own court and tries to find gaps behind the defense. We did not allow this either. We closed the gaps between passes, narrowed them well, we played the game we wanted by responding to the players who came between us. “What was missing was not being able to evaluate the clear positions we entered. If we had succeeded in this, we would have been the side with three points today. Nobody would be surprised at this result, but such things happen in football. We will work harder.”

Thanking his players for their struggle, Erdogan said, “They are very sad, but there is no room for sadness or joy in football. We will only experience the sadness of this today. We will start the preparations for the Sivasspor match, which we will play tomorrow. “We want to take it in front of our fans and enter the national match with morale. We want to be more ready after the national match.” he said.

Thanking his fans, who did not leave them alone in Alanya away, Erdogan said, “They supported the team for 90 minutes. Then they called the players and applauded. I am sure they are also happy with the game and the struggle on the field. We will continue our work. I hope we will experience good days together.” he said.
