After breaking up with Mihajlović
After the dismissal of Siniša Mihajlović, FC Bologna apparently quickly found a successor on the coaching bench. According to one Report by transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio Thiago Motta takes over the Rossoblu. The 40-year-old is due to arrive in Emilia-Romagna on Friday and sign his two-year contract before being officially presented.
Bologna will be Motta’s third spell as head coach in Italy after taking over the U19s there in 2018 following the end of his career at Paris Saint-Germain. After a brief, rather unsuccessful stint at Genoa CFC (ten games, two wins), he found his way to Spezia Calcio last summer. There Motta succeeded last season with the second lowest squad value as table 16. relegation in Serie A.
