First division players still get players by deadline

Zulte Waregem brought four more players to the Gaverbeek just before the deadline. Chinonso Offor (22) is on loan from Montreal until the end of the season. The Nigerian attacker will arrive in Waregem later this week. The Senegalese Pape Demba Diop has signed a two-year contract with an option for a further two years.

Earlier in the evening, Essevee also took over Estonian Kevor Palumets (19): the midfielder comes over from Paide Linnameeskond for three years, with an option for another season. And Zulte Waregem was very active: the Senegalese center striker Alioune Ndour (24 ) is also new at the Gaverbeek: he exchanges the Norwegian first division team Haugesund for Zulte Waregem for four seasons.

KV Kortrijk

KV Kortrijk was also still active on the last day of the summer mercato: Bosnian midfielder Stjepan Loncar exchanges Hungarian national champion Ferencvaros for KVK. That rents him until the end of this season, with an option to buy.

Oleksiy Sych is also new at KV Kortrijk: the right back from Ukraine (21) comes from Rukh Lviv in his own country, and is also a youth international. Kortrijk rents Sych with option to purchase.

KV Ostend

There was also activity at KV Oostende, but internally: the contract with French midfielder Maxime d’Arpino has been extended until 2026. He tore his cruciate ligaments in April and his meniscus was also hit. The months-long rehabilitation is on schedule and KVO wants to keep one of its strongholds longer.
