Climate chaos calls for crimes

Go on hunger strike, stick, dodge fare…

The climate chaos of the “last generation” call for mass crimes on their Twitter channel.

From September 1, everyone who feels addressed should express their “protest” against the alleged “climate failure of the government in traffic” as a fare dodger – with so-called “nationwide free rides”.

In a follow-up tweet it says: “We will be driving from 1.9. without a ticket”.

The protesters are primarily targeting Deutsche Bahn trains.

The fact is that anyone who uses public transport without a valid ticket is considered a fare dodger. This is a criminal offense punishable by fines and even imprisonment.

Because fare evasion costs the transport company a lot of money – and the other passengers have to bear that. As a result, tickets are becoming more expensive.

Chaos announce further disturbance actions

In addition, the climate chaos on the streets are planning a new wave of protests this fall. “We will start the next phase of action again at the beginning of October and do these blockade actions again,” announced the activist Lina Eichler a few days ago.

The group was formed after a climate hunger strike in Berlin exactly a year ago and has been organizing motorway blockades for months. Activists stick themselves to the road, which causes long traffic jams and annoyance for motorists. In addition, in the past, valves were turned off on oil and gas pipelines.

Recently, the activists even stuck to works of art in museums. At the weekend they disrupted the top game in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich versus Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The aim of the actions is an immediate move away from oil, coal and gas, the combustion of which releases a lot of climate-damaging carbon dioxide.

The group receives financial support from the “Climate Emergency Fund” in California. The fund makes “strategic investments in new organizations like the ‘Last Generation’ that want to disrupt daily life in order to put massive pressure on governments,” Margaret Klein Salamon, the foundation’s director, said when asked.

How much money the group gets remains open. In total, almost three million dollars are said to have flowed from the foundation to 33 organizations last year. Money for the foundation was donated by Aileen Getty, granddaughter of oil magnate J. Paul Getty, among others.
