Brazil national soccer player Antony is moving from Ajax Amsterdam to Manchester United for a transfer fee of up to 100 million euros.
As the Dutchman announced, the transfer will finally take place if the 22-year-old meets the medical requirements. The last details of his new contract are still to be clarified.
The English Premier League club from Manchester has to transfer 95 million euros to Ajax, bonus payments could add another five million euros. The two traditional clubs have already agreed on the financial framework for the services of the attacker. For Ajax it is the highest income for a player ever.
Olympic gold with Brazil
Antony, whose full name is Antony Matheus dos Santos, originally had a contract until the summer of 2025. It is not yet officially known how long he will be committed to Manchester. The youngster had won Olympic gold in Tokyo with his home country last year. According to Ajax, the South American scored a total of 24 goals in 82 appearances for the Amsterdam team. In Manchester he now meets his former coach Erik ten Hag.
