No incidents on the day of the canceled Front Night in Ypres

The city of Ypres provides extra police manpower throughout the weekend to avoid incidents around the Yzerwake events and the canceled Front Night. The police prepare a daily risk analysis and also monitor what is happening on social media and through internal contacts.

Saturday it remained quiet in Ypres. “Apart from the usual pleasant crowds in Ypres on Saturday, there were no calamities. We will continue to monitor the situation,” the police said. Also on Sunday, during the Yserwake, the police keep an eye on things.
