A dead man was found in a house on Reigerstraat in Fijnaart on Thursday afternoon. It concerns the single resident of the building, according to the police.
She was called around half past three by a postman, who was worried and had seen many flies in the house, among other things. According to a police spokesman, the man had been there for at least a week and a half. It is the third time in a short time that a dead person has been found in a house in Brabant that had been there for a long time.
After the body was found, detectives and forensic officers were called in. The body was taken away early in the evening. The investigation into the circumstances under which the dead person was found was still not over by 8.30am. A police spokesman quickly assumed it was not a crime.
A number of local residents have already informed Omroep Brabant that it concerns the resident of the building. They said he hadn’t been seen for several days.
A dead man was recently found in houses in Waalre and Tilburg. According to funeral director Roel Stapper in Breda, the number of people dying in loneliness is increasing.
