Apple has released the IOS 15.6.1 update, in connection with which the company warned of two vulnerabilities that have been exploited in attacks.
According to Apple, the first vulnerability has made it possible to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. Apple says in its report that it is aware of a report that the vulnerability may have been actively exploited.
Another vulnerability concerns the WebKit browser engine of the Safari application. The vulnerability could allow arbitrary code execution. Apple believes that this vulnerability has also been actively exploited.
In practice, the vulnerabilities thus enable the attacker to gain full remote control over the victim’s device.
Apple advises users to install the update as soon as possible:

You can do the update like this:
- Open Settings.
- choose General.
- choose Software update.
Vulnerabilities have also been detected on iPads, Mac computers and the Safari browser. You should also install their updates right away.
