A 20-year-old Zaandammer and a 29-year-old Amsterdammer were arrested this morning in their hometown because they are suspected of setting fire to a house in Naarden and shooting at A1.
In the night of 2 to 3 July, an incendiary bomb probably went off at a house on Amsterdamsestraatweg in Naarden. Not much later, shots were fired on the A1.
The front of the house was damaged by the firebomb. The resident quickly extinguished the fire. He saw a car pull away and decided to follow it. “In this pursuit, according to the resident, he was shot several times with a firearm,” the police said.
No one was injured in either the shooting or the arson.
