A spokesperson for the Open Netherlands Foundation confirms this after reporting from the AD. It “seems to be a technical problem” on the part of the GGD, he explains. “The GGD has to decide at a certain moment that it is too busy and that they will send people on. But it doesn’t seem to work well to send people in busy regions to the commercial test streets.”
He cannot say how many of the commercial test streets have closed due to a lack of tests to be conducted. On Wednesday, the first locations opened their doors to help the GGDs.
