Russia is holding thousands of Ukrainians in camps in eastern and southern Ukraine conquered by Moscow and allies. In the Philharmonic Concert Hall in Mariupol, the Russians have started building cages. Experts fear it will be used for mock trials of captured Ukrainian fighters. Denis Pushilin, the leader of the self-declared pro-Russian People’s Republic of Donetsk (DPR), told Russian media last week that Ukrainian soldiers will be brought to justice “before the end of the summer”.
