President Zelensky: Silent Russians are complicit in war in Ukraine | Abroad

Read everything about the war in Ukraine in this file.

“If you have Russian citizenship and are silent, it means you are not fighting, which means you support it[the war, ed.],” said President Zelensky. Contrary to previous appeals to the Russians, President Zelensky did not address them in Russian this time, but in Ukrainian.

Also in Ukraine and around the world, everyone must do “everything in their power to make Russia and those who support the war pay an ever-increasing price for Russian state terror,” the president said.

Russia invaded its neighbor Ukraine on February 24. Almost six months later, the war is still raging. According to opinion polls, the majority of Russians would support the invasion of Ukraine. That is not saying much, however: in Russia open criticism of the power apparatus is severely punished.
