American singer Ne-Yoproperly named by Shaffer Chimere Smithwife Crystal Renay has filed for divorce, reports Page Six.
Renay claims that Smith fathered a child with another woman.
Renay filed the divorce papers on Monday of last week. The reason for the separation was stated to be that the union was “irrevocably broken with no hope of reconciliation”.
The couple originally married in February 2016 and divorced two years later. The on-off couple ended up at the altar again and got married for the second time in April of this year.
Smith and Renay have three children together, aged 6, 4 and 1. In connection with the divorce application, Renay applied for joint custody and close parentage for herself.

Back in late July, Renay posted an Instagram update where she said her husband had cheated on her with numerous women during their eight-year relationship.
– It would be an understatement to say that my heart is broken and that I am disgusted. It’s completely crazy to ask me to stay and accept this. Narcissistic thinking. I will no longer lie in public or pretend this is something it’s not, Renay wrote in her since-deleted post.
