These are the XX candidate cities to host the festival in the United Kingdom

BBC Radio 2 has announced the seven candidates early this Friday: Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield they are the finalists to host the next edition of Eurovision, which leaves other locations such as London and Bristol out of the race. Total, 20 British cities showed their interest in the festivalbut only 7 have advanced to the final phase.

The EBU explains that the process to choose the host city of Eurovision 2023 will end in the fall. Once the winner is chosen, tickets will go on sale to the general public.

The experience in holding major international events was key for those selected to advance to the final phase. Now they will have to develop their respective proposals in detail before the BBC and the EBU, who will jointly decide the winner.
