Fervent participant Ruben Van Gucht about shorter Dodentocht: “As a society we also have to look at ourselves”

After two years of corona, the Dodentocht in Bornem has a new setback: the heat wave. The 100 km long tour is shortened to 65 km for the first time in history due to the warm temperatures. Sports presenter Ruben Van Gucht, who has participated in the Dodentocht several times as an ultra runner, regrets that decision. “I think some extra drink stations and amenities like caps would have been enough.”
