“Hot start” of the German stars

There is still time before the start of the new biathlon season. But the German stars are already working intensively on their form. Denise Herrmann and Co. have now taken a course in Italy.

Temperatures around 30 degrees and lots of hard work: Germany’s biathlon women are currently preparing for the upcoming biathlon winter in South Tyrol. Also taking part are individual Olympic champion Denise Herrmann, Vanessa Hinz and Janina Hettich.

During the course in Lavazè, the basis for the next biathlon season should be created.

In addition to shooting training and stabilization training, the DSV team also completed interval training at an altitude of around 1800 meters.

“Hot start to the next course with a deserved cool down at the end,” writes Vanessa Hinz in an Instagram post.

Of course, Sverre Olsbu Röiseland, who has joined Kristian Mehringer’s coaching team, will also be there in South Tyrol.

Biathlon Summer World Cup is just around the corner

The German biathlon stars will get a first performance level at the Summer World Championships in Ruhpolding. Denise Herrmann had confirmed weeks ago for the event, which will be held from August 24th to 28th, 2022.

“I’ve never started at a Summer World Cup. Of course I want to take the opportunity to compete in front of my home crowd. It will be a cool event on my doorstep. It’s also a good endurance test,” said the 33-year-old to “chiemgau24 “.

The biathlete spoke of an “attractive overall package”. Dorothea Wierer and Elvira Öberg also want to start in Ruhpolding.

The course in Lavazè should help to be able to make a first statement at the Summer World Championships. The German team should already have the upcoming biathlon winter in mind.
