Miroslav Klose was very enthusiastic about the premiere victory in the Austrian Bundesliga with the SCR Altach.
“I think it’s fantastic and I’m really proud of the boys”said the coach on Sunday (07.08.2022) after the 3: 2 (0: 1) against Austria Vienna: “The team has to believe in itself, then such victories are possible.”
Winning goal in the 94th minute
After being 2-0 down, the Klose team secured the first three in the third league game under the German coach thanks to a comeback and Atdhe Nuhiu’s late winner (90+4). “The most important thing is that we kept believing in ourselves despite the deficit”said the world champion of 2014: “But now we have to keep our feet on the ground, we still have a lot of work to do.”
Klose took over as coach at Vorarlberg in June. After the end of his playing career, the former world-class striker was employed as a youth and assistant coach at FC Bayern Munich.
