There is a good chance that temperatures will rise further in the coming week. We will probably even get a heat wave in the south and southeast of the country. On Thursday and Saturday, the weather service even expects tropical temperatures of around 30 degrees. “It also seems that an official national heat wave is in the making.”
beach weather
On Tuesday we will have to deal with tropical temperatures throughout the Netherlands, even on the beaches. It is very warm all week for this time of year. On Sunday it is relatively easy with the heat. Most days there is a lot of sun. The drought is also continuing and that is not good news, especially for nature.
At the start of the new week it cools down at night to temperatures between 12 and 16 degrees. The nights get really muggy in the second half of the week, especially in the cities where the temperature drops less quickly.
Cooling down
As the week progresses, the humidity also increases. It is therefore important to open all windows and doors in the evening and at night to cool down your house. However, meteorologists do not expect oppressive heat due to the moderately blowing easterly wind.
“Should the weather forecast come true, there may be an official national heat wave on Saturday. The last national heat wave was in 2020 and lasted from 5 to 17 August,” according to the weather service.
