Last season Luca Pfeiffer scored his goals in the second division, now he should save VfB from relegation with his goals.
VfB Stuttgart have signed attacker Luca Pfeiffer from Danish club FC Midtjylland. The Swabians announced this on Tuesday.
Pfeiffer has a contract with VfB until 2026. The 1.96 meter man was loaned to SV Darmstadt 98 last season. The 25-year-old scored 17 goals in 32 league games for the second division. His contract in Midtjylland ran until 2024.
VfB sports director Sven Mislintat said of the signing: “Last season Luca was one of the most successful goalscorers in the 2nd Bundesliga. With his goal threat, his athleticism, but also with the experience he has gained in his previous career stations at home and abroad he fits perfectly into our squad.”
Mislintat said last week that the Swabians are considering signing another striker – regardless of whether their striker Sasa Kalajdzic leaves the club this summer or stays.
