Finland nominated a team of 70 athletes for the European Championships.
Finland is going with a team of no less than 70 athletes to the European Athletics Championships in Munich. In the last European Championship four years ago, the team size was 42 athletes.
– The size of the team is a pleasant surprise, in the same way as the size of the World Cup team that competed in Eugene. It partly tells about the overall situation of domestic athletics and offers a variety of exciting things for the home stands of the European Championships, said the head of coaching of the Finnish Sports Confederation Tuomo Salonen.
The European Championships will be held from 15 to 21 August.
