Berlin (AP) – Alpine will present its new Formula 1 car for the 2022 season on February 21, the French racing team announced.
The presentation takes place just two days before the first pre-season practice session at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on February 23rd. Alpine’s driver duo remains unchanged, with the A522 being driven by two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon.
Ocon took the first win for Alpine, which was renamed Renault for 2021, at last year’s Hungarian Grand Prix. The 23-race new season begins on March 20 with the Bahrain Grand Prix. There are also two test dates in Barcelona (February 23-25) and in Sakhir (March 10-12).
