It is not the first time that Van der Weijden has made a record attempt. He previously swam against the current for 32 hours. The record attempt in Landgraaf was also an exercise for the next attempt. Next year, the swimmer wants to do the Eleven Cities Triathlon, a combination of cycling, swimming and walking.
