Motorcyclist dies in accident on E403 in Torhout

The circumstances in which the accident happened are still unclear, but it is believed that a motorcyclist drove into the back of a truck. The impact was not minor. The car hit the guardrail on the left side of the highway. All help came too late for the motard.

Due to the accident, the road was littered with debris and the road was completely blocked. After more than an hour of waiting, passenger cars were able to turn around and drive in the opposite direction towards the Lichtervelde ramp. Trucks could not turn and remained standing.
