FC Barcelona continue their expensive shopping spree. Ex-Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski’s new club has reached an agreement with Sevilla to sign French defender Jules Koundé, the Catalans announced on Thursday. The 23-year-old will sign a contract after the medical examinations. Chelsea should also have been interested in Koundé. According to media reports, the fixed fee should be around 50 million euros plus 10 million euros of possible bonus payments.
Barça, which owes around 1.35 billion euros, had taken Robert Lewandowski from FC Barcelona and Raphinha from Leeds United for a total of around 110 million euros during this summer break. In addition, Franck Kessié and Andreas Christensen came on a free transfer.
