Played the last two seasons in the Buffalo Sabers organization Arttu Ruotsalainen have done next season’s comprehensive contract with the Swiss Kloten.
The 24-year-old forward played a total of 35 NHL games in Buffalo, where he scored 7+3. Last season, he mostly played in the club’s farm team in the AHL.
For Leijon, the Swede’s return to Europe is a good thing, because he is an important core player for the national team Sakari Manninen went to the NHL. While playing in Switzerland, the Swede is available to the national team throughout the season.
As a player, the Swede resembles Mann a lot, as both are excellent skaters and can play both in the middle and on the wing.
The Swede played in the 2021 World Cup in Leijon and scored four goals in ten matches.
At the end of last season, the traditional Kloten returned to the Swiss main league. The club had already strengthened its ranks with players who excelled in the KHL Juha Metsola and Miro Aaltonen.
