Christophe Laporte won on Friday (07/22/22) on the third to last stage of this year’s Tour de France secured. The Jumbo Visma pro won after a short, spirited start after 188.3 km from Castelnau-Magnoac after Cahors.

Jonas Vingegaard from Denmark starts the last two sections undisputedly wearing the yellow jersey of the leader. The 25-year-old Dane is more than three minutes ahead of defending champion Tadej on his way to his first overall victory in the Tour of France Pogacar, Geraint Thomas is third, 8:00 minutes behind. The tour ends next Sunday (07/24/22) in Paris.

Politt active again

Shortly after the start, a group of five drivers with Nils Politt (Bora-hansgrohe) broke away from the peloton, but they never had a lead of more than two minutes on the peloton could drive out.
