The soccer players of Germany have reached the semi-finals of the European Football Championship in England. The eight-time European champion defeated Austria 2-0 in London.
Lina Magull made the opening goal in the first half with a slider. Alexandra Popp made it 2-0 just before time after a mistake by goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger.
Germany will meet the winner of the match between the Netherlands and France in the semi-finals in Milton Keynes on July 27. They play against each other in Rotherham on Saturday.
