Slovakian forward Michal Krištof and Czech defenseman Libor Šulák will continue their careers in the upcoming season in Admiral Vladivostok, KHL. The club announced the players’ transfer on their Instagram account.

Krištof has signed a one-year contract with Admiral. The forward played in Oulu Kärpi for three seasons before moving to the ranks of Czech HC Kometa Brno for the last season.

Libor Šulák already left Admiral in the middle of last season, but is now returning to the club.

Šulák moved to Örebro in Sweden in the middle of last season in mid-February. However, he had time to sign a one-year extension contract with Admiral before moving to Sweden.

Šulák was the team’s captain last season.

In the second season, the Czech defender played for the Kärppie in the SM league. In his career, he has also represented Lahti Pelicans and Koovola KooKoo.

Šulák and Krištof join some of the foreign players who have signed for the country at war. Russia expanded its war of aggression in Ukraine at the end of February. There is still a war going on in the country and several thousand civilians have died in Russian bombings.

Among other things, Latvia has made a regulation, due to which state subsidies are not granted to athletes competing in Russia and Belarus. They have nothing to do with the national team either.

Despite this, for example, the goalkeeper who represented Tapparaa at the end of last season Janis Kalniņš will play in Amur Khabarovsk next season.
