The Barça president is very happy at Robert Lewandowski’s welcome ceremony
He thanks the Pole for choosing the Blaugrana club and explains that they are still working on reinforcements
President Joan Laporta, in an act that was held in Miami, where Barça played yesterday against Inter Miami in the first game of the American tour, was in charge of welcoming Robert Lewandowski on behalf of all Barça fans: “We are very happy and grateful to Robert. This man has made an extraordinary effort, we are very proud that you wanted to come and play with us“, said an extremely happy Laporta.
Laporta has insisted that Barça is building a squad that will once again be able to fight for all the titles: “We are trying to make an increasingly competitive team, we are progressing very well. I want to thank the entire football department headed by Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff and the sports vice president, Rafa Yuste, for this incorporation that has had worldwide repercussions”.
The president of Barça has insisted on the idea that Barça is recovering the position of privilege that it had lost in world football: “We are recovering the specific weight and putting Barça in the world again. We will make an increasingly competitive team to the extent of our possibilities“.

Lewandowski’s signing for Barça became official on Tuesday night. The transfer has cost the Blaugrana club 45 million fixed plus five in variables and the Polish striker has signed for four seasons, with a termination clause of 500 million euros. An agreement had been reached between clubs last Friday and the player joined Barça’s American tour on Sunday.
