Russia propaganda fantasizes about Ukrainian monster soldiers

Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine has now lasted five months. Now Vladimir Putin’s propaganda apparatus claims they are fighting Ukrainian soldiers who are being supplied with top-secret drugs in laboratories.

Russian politician Irina Yarovaya had a lot to tell the media. Ukraine would supply its army with performance-enhancing drugs. Thus, according to Yarovaya, “the last traces of human consciousness would be erased” and “malicious and deadly monsters” would emerge.

“This system of controlling and creating a gruesome murder machine was implemented under the direction of the United States,” she explained.

Online conspiracy theory

The tangled story could be due to a conspiracy theory that originally emerged on Twitter. According to this story, Russia attacked Ukraine to destroy laboratories working on new viruses. They wanted to release them later, according to the conspiracy theory.

Outside of such abstruse fantasies, the war goes on and claims more and more victims. At least 20 civilians were killed and dozens injured in a Russian missile attack on the central Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia last week, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
