Instagram launched paid subscriptions earlier this year, but now the company says it will add new features for paying customers. CEO of Instagram Adam Mosser said in the video that the company aims to make the platform the best place on the internet to make money.

According to Mosser, the new features are based directly on the feedback given by the content producers who participated in the subscription phase.

The most significant new feature is the ability to publish images that can only be seen by subscribers, The Verge tells. Previously, creators could only publish stories to subscribers, but the new feature expands the possibility to regular Instagram posts. According to Mosser, the company received the most requests for adding that feature.

Subscriptions range in price from $0.99 to $99.99, and users who have purchased a subscription receive a tag on their profile that shows which users they support. In addition to stories and pictures, users will also be able to make streams in the future that are only visible to subscribers. The last new feature allows you to create 30-person group chats with subscribers.

Instagram has gradually increased the availability of subscriptions, and the feature is currently open to tens of thousands of US creators. Mosseri, however, recognizes that the company needs to expand payment to other areas as well.
