It is already official by Bayern. Robert Lewandowski is one step away from signing for FC Barcelona. This was reported by the Bavarian club in an official statement, in which it explained that “a verbal agreement” has been reached between the two parties, as we have already been reporting in SPORT in recent hours.

“FC Bayern has reached a verbal agreement with FC Barcelona for the transfer of Robert Lewandowski. “We have verbal confirmation from FC Barcelona. This clarity is good for both parties. Robert is a player who deserves everything, he has won everything with us. We are very grateful to him,” President Herbert Hainer said in an interview with Bayerischen Rundfunk at the Allianz FC Bayern Team Presentation on Saturday.
The club’s general manager, Oliver Kahn, added: “We have decided to release Robert Lewandowski. There is a verbal agreement with FC Barcelona, the whole legal aspect is still open. We all know very well how much we have to thank Robert, but from FC Bayern also left great players before and the world of Bayern has not been broken. On the contrary, it continued to be even more successful on many occasions.”
Sporting CEO Hasan Salihamidžić He added: “Robert Lewandowski has had a very high performance at FC Bayern. We have been talking a lot with colleagues from Barcelona and we have clarified the details. He said goodbye this morning. After the tour of the United States he will return to Munich, we will have a coffee together. We wish him much success at his new club.”

The player traveled to Mallorca this afternoon to be with his family and, from there, he will take a direct flight to Miami to join Barça in the United States for pre-season.
